Art Discovery provides monthly resources that are all online. These resources are located here (Units Tab).
Each month, Leads review online training videos, scripts and slideshows; the day of the lesson, they arrive early to gather materials from the Art Closet in the Library. In the classroom, Leads share a brief lesson about an artist and lead an art project related to the artist of the month (I recommend using the training video on mute and pausing throughout the activity). Meet The Masters curricula for these lessons and art projects are leveled by student age: Kindergarten, Beginner (1st, 2nd grades), Intermediate (3rd, 4th grades) and Advanced (5th grade). Volunteers have online access to training videos, scripts and Google Slides for classroom presentations.
Volunteers are offered this curriculum as a support. I encourage Leads to adapt, modify, edit, pivot, and adjust the curriculum to fit their style and their classroom. Please feel free to reach out to me for help or ideas modifying the material.
Join our mission to provide every student with engaging art lessons and activities.
